Boise Art Museum
The Boise Art Museum recently received a grant from The Institute of Museum and Library. The grant supported the funding the development of interactive tools to be incorporated within the galleries of the the museum. BAM hired me to design and develop three interactive touchscreen kiosks under the IMLS grant. The three kiosks include:
Sensory Station
Packed full of research, games, videos and music… this kiosk will turn you into an art historian.
Virtual Curator
A favorite among museum guests, the Virtual Curator allows users to curate their own exhibition with artwork from the current exhibition.
Visitors Voices
These computers give guests a moment to reflect on their experience at the exhibition. They can write a comment, create a postcard, take a survey and participate in a poll.
Nick Cave Exhibition
Download Video: MP4
I created this promotional video for the Nick Cave Exhibition, currently at the Boise Art Museum. Nick Cave is a multifaceted artist. In his exhibition, Meet Me at the Center of the Earth, he is touring a showcase of “Soundsuits”. You can read all the details about the exhibition on this website (which I also created).
Nick Cave’s work is inspired by rituals and ceremony. The music I chose for the video is by LaFam & Orono. LaFam & Orono’s
RMI Theme is the perfect mix of ancient traditions and modern culture. I felt this reflected Nick Cave’s work well and provided a fun & edgy beat.
If you live in Boise or find yourself in the area, make sure to check out this exhibition.
