It’s amazing how building up your soul with goodness radiates right through your skin and changes the world around you. Surround yourself with good people. Focus you mind on the positive things in your life and let go of the negative. And most importantly- never use the font papyrus.

Whats wrong with papyrus?…I did some research…so its over-used perhaps thats where your distaste with it comes from. What font do you prefer?

    good question ;)
My issue is probably more of a pet peeve. I’m not a big fan of decorative display fonts (I suppose there is always a time and a place for everything). Anyways- when I was a first year design student that was my favorite font. I guess I look back on it the same way I look back on my first year of legal drinking- I used what looked good rather then what worked best.

I just stumbled upon your blog. Great stuff! I live in Arizona and Papyrus is definitely the whore-font of the southwest. Its funny that you say to never use it, because that was one of the first things my favorite professor taught me in Graphic Design 1. It’s like the Starbucks of fonts… nothing special and can be found on every street corner.

Do you do vector art? I just hosted an online vector art competition, but we are looking to hold another one this summer… you can read more about the project at http://www.artfortheearth.org

It’s funny to consider it a whore font, given the fact that it seems to be used for a lot of christian publications.
