Wow, this last week kinda felt like the last week of school. I’ve been working late everyday and really trying to get ahead before my super awesome vacation that begins tomorrow. I’m not sure how I will get up early enough for my flight when I have been staying up so late the last few days, but anything is possible. Overall, I feel really good about the state of my life and career. Maybe it’s because of the 60hours of vacation time I have claimed… but seriously, I think this has been the best summer yet. When I was in school I never had vacation time or money to travel and I usually spent my summers and spring breaks working. It’s nice to be able to get away, I kinda feel like things are really working out for me and I am excited about what’s to come.
Have a fabulous week! I’m off to the coast!

July began with a spark that quickly became a flame and caught the side of a hill on fire. Let’s just say, it’s been an adventure.
I celebrated the fourth with a game of tennis under a sky filled with fireworks. That was both unusual and fantastic. Of course we had to get a slice of apple pie after our mini midnight Wimbledon. I had a cup of coffee with my pie and was up all night. The following morning, I packed my bags, caught a cab, and hopped on an airplane headed to nowhere. Then I spent the weekend on the houseboat. I got to see another fireworks show, which was great until they caught the hillside on fire. Then I was serenaded by some drunken boys on the boat next door (my mom decided it was a good idea to tell them I was single while they drunkenly forgot the words to some random Tom Petty song)… thanks mom…
This last weekend I was very ambitious. I got up at 5am and ran a 10k, then I got in my car and drove 3 hours into the woods to go camping. Needless to say, I was a bit frustrated when it took me 2 1/2 hours to find my friend’s campsite. GRR!
Anyways, it was fun. I got to swim and got a killer tan!
